Abstract: The world population is continuously increasing and the basic needs of the citizens are also gradually increasing. According to research, cities are the core of global development. The kind of smart city concept offers opportunities to solve urban problems and provide the citizen with a better living space. This paper deals with the development of cities in various fields including public security, health care, digitalization, education, mobility, and infrastructure. Public security is one of the main needs of the nation which deals with individual and societal growth and evolution. In the future health care is going to massively shift to the hands of technology and will benefit from the dramatic changes. Traveling from one to another will be much more hassle-free in cities in the mere future. The most important field of development in the future of the city is education. It will completely become technology based in which the concepts are well understood with visualization. In the future, most money transactions will be digitalized which will reduce time consumption. Secondly, we will also discuss in the paper the advantages of the countries implementing the smart city across the globe.
