Abstract: Modern society is increasingly reliant on technology, making safeguarding our data of paramount importance due to the rising threat of data breaches. This paper concentrates on exploring intrusion detection techniques within cloud-based networks. Our research commences by examining established intrusion detection methods and elucidating their functionality, objectives, and methodologies. We also delve into attack patterns and conduct risk assessments. Furthermore, we address the unique challenges posed by cloud-based intrusion detection systems. Our primary emphasis, however, lies in the realm of intrusion detection techniques tailored to cloud environments. Our research methodology involves an extensive review of recent scientific literature authored by experts in the field. Through this analysis, we aim to provide valuable insights and conclusions.
