Vitex negundo Linn.(Verbenaceae) is a well –known medicinal herb that is used in Indian system of medicine.The present study deals with the analysis of phytochemical constituents by qualitative and quantitative analysis of Vitex negundo (Linn.) stem were done using various extracts. All part of the plant contain number of secondary metabolites such as alkaloids ,phenols,flavonoids,glycosidic irridoids,tannins and terpenes were analysed by qualitative and quantitative analysis.Quantitative analysis were also conducted  to determine the amount of alkaloids,flavonoids and saponins.
